How IECC manages certificate validity, suspension, revocation and misuse
Last Updated: 30 November 2025
IECC may suspend a certificate where there is evidence of nonconformity, missed surveillance, or pending investigation related to misuse or quality concerns. Suspended certificates are not considered valid during the suspension period. Public notices of suspensions are available in our Suspension & Revocation directory.
IECC may revoke certificates in cases including, but not limited to: fraud, falsification, persistent nonconformity, misuse of IECC name/marks, or failure to comply with contractual terms. Revocation decisions are documented and reflected in the official status shown through the verification portal.
Revocations are published in our Suspension & Revocation directory.
Acceptance and recognition of IECC certificates depend on the policies of individual organizations, contractual requirements, and market practices. Clients should verify suitability for their specific purpose prior to use.
